On February 11th alumnae Maggie Madden '05 embarked on
a 5-month journey across Turtle Island with the
Longest Walk 2. The Longest Walk is an Indigenous
Peoples walk from San Francisco, CA to Washington, DC.
We are walking to protect our environment and
preserve sacred sites. We walk with the message "All
Life is Sacred, Protect Mother Earth. Maggie
organizes the trash and recycling program on the walk.
We pick up trash along the way and launched a
campaign to "Clean Up Mother Earth". The walk survives
solely from donations and we are in desperate need of
funds with the gas prices being what they are now. If
you can give any money it would be greatly

Maggie is walking the Southern Route. We will be in
Washington DC on July 11th so if you live in the East
Coast come on down to the mall for the celebration and
delivery of the Manifesto to Congress. Thank you for
